Antonio DeMerio, a convicted felon charged with battery of a fellow employee at a parking lot, not too away from the factory where the two worked, just got released from prison after serving a sentence of 5 years. On his second day home, he decides to take Julio, his 13 year old son for fishing. The father-son bonding was much over due, and Antonio was a new person.
They sit by the pier, at the end of the docs, with their sandwiches in hand and their legs hanging just above the water. Its quiet, peaceful and the wind is just right. Antonio would use this time to reconnect with his son, and make up for the lost time.
Antonio: Son, I have done some very bad things in life, but I want you to know that I did them to protect my family. For you and your mother. You understand me?
Julio:I do, dad. I know sometimes one needs to do whatever it takes. It?s like that one time I mixed human feces in Michael?s food, this guy in my school, because he would not stop talking to Stacy. What a dick. He should have seen it coming though.
Antonio:Oh, woah?That?s gross and disturbing, Julio! Why would you even think of something like that? And wait.. who is Stacy?
