Me and my mom have an awkward relationship. When we go to the movies, she goes to the one she wants to see and I go to minne. When we're at the mall, she shops New York & Commpany while I shop Hollister. Whenever I text her a question or a statement, she replies "ok." But the there was onemoment to top the awkwardness through the years. A moment I'm sure everyone goes through in their pointless lives. That moment, is awkward moment #115. And that is when your mother is washing the dishes, and she's just about finish...and 30 minutes ago ago you decided to make yourself a messy snack of scrambled eggs, sausage, bagel, cheese and bacon. But you were so hungry that you added pancakes and waffles with maple syrup all over it, IHop style. And this is the moment, 30 minutes later, when you're done eating and you've come toput your plate in the sink. But then you stop, because mom's there washing the dishes, and you can see that she's just about finish. You glance at the plate...then at mom...then back to the plate. You don't want to wash it. So you nervously walk up to your mom, give a smile, and slip the plate in there, right when she's bending down to put the last washed plate in the dishwasher, and walk away. That's just it. You never know how this story ends because you walked away and didn't look back...yup, you didn't DARE to look back.
