Dave is sane - Just! He is a kind hearted guy but hates his life and wishes for change. That change comes after he wins the lottery but things turn sour when he finds himself framed by his wife and convicted of a savage murder where he is placed in Perpetual Highs Hospital for the criminally insane. Moonstricken charts the goings on in the hospital and ridiculous situations Dave finds himself forced into on his quest to prove his innocence.
